Caro performed on Strictly Come Dancing on October 23rd and was nominated for International Breakthrough Award at the inaugural AIM Awards in November.

2011 has delivered a succession of highlights for the singer whose chic image and effortless marriage of 50’s inspired salsa, samba and jazz with a contemporary pop vigour marks her out as a true original.  Her whip-smart, assertive lyrics and breezy vocals ensure that Caro holds it all together with consummate ease.

A record-breaking star in her Dutch homeland, in 2011 Caro’s debut album ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor’ has resonated with audiences all over Europe. On these shores it is certified gold and became the sleeper hit of the summer, scoring 10 weeks in the Top 10 Album Chart and peaking at number 4. In November the album will be reissued as a CD/DVD double pack, featuring a triumphant live concert recorded at Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall and on December 5th Caro will release her new single ‘Stuck’, a high-tempo, exuberant pop number that possesses charm and wit in abundance.

All of her singles to date – ‘Back It Up’, ‘Riviera Life’, ‘A Night Like This’ and ‘That Man’ – have been playlisted on stations across the country. Caro performed at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park in the summer and gave a taste of things to come when she played at the Jazz Café in Camden in August:
