Red Room are an alternative / pop duo from South London and release their debut EP “Waxpoetics” through Marbles Music, written in their own studios at Battersea, London.
The second song on the EP, 'Lean On Me' was co written with Serena Clara, who also sings on the track, and is only 15 years old.
The EP was produced by respected London producer Steve Honest at The Church of Steve Honest studios in London.
Steve became well known as the Pedal Steel player with Culture Club and Dolly Parton to name but a few.
There is also a video to support the EP directed by Luc Rioche an up and coming film-maker and produced by Mathew Burton, a well know West End director and actor.
Band members, Jerome Shapiro and Sam Frankl, work together with producers and other musicians to create an exciting and versatile sound.
Their live shows see an ever changing roster of talented young musicians joining them to reinvent and bring to life their recorded work, a mixture of electronic and live instruments.
No two shows are the same, one week they can be joined by a saxophonist, the next a cellist…none however are to be missed.
Red Room will play monthly gigs at The Half Moon, Putney, meaning you can always catch them and their unique and distinctive sounds when in London.
The band has also gained a strong base of student support whilst playing in occupied rooms at various London universities recently with a student benefit gig planned - full details to be announced very soon.
