The Station Sessions are a unique series events in St. Pancras International, providing a platform for the best new music.

Matinee are an established four piece Italian rock n roll band in Italy; however last Summer they all bravely flew their sunny nests to pursue their London rock n roll dreams. "40 Years Old" produced by Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian, Carl Barat, Teenage Fanclub, Super Furry Animals)  is their follow up single to debut "City Lifestyle" (Sept  24th 2011) .This new release is a melodic soaring dream like journey of a song showing a maturity to Matiness overall sound.

The band is named after Scotland's very own Franz Ferdinand's hit song; "Matinee" and they are all friends after supporting them in Italy. The UK has embraced our Italian friends with support on their debut from NME TV, NME online, Q radio and Scotland's Jim Gellaty is an official fan. Matinee were recently up for nomination for "Best International Act" on Amazing Radios Saturday Show "Zings" Awards and this month played the very credible Station Sessions  ( The Guillemots ,Ed Sheeran, Ellen & The Escapades) - so it seems the UK is their new found and happy home..

So on UK soil the band has played live at many key London venues including Death Disco (Creation Records; Alan McGee's night) and the 100 Club. Their love of UK music shines through after support slots with Razorlight, Mystery Jets, The Futureheads, The Wombats, Pete and the Pirates and British Sea Power.

Coming soon a follow up single featuring Belle & Sebastian and a debut album..

"Killers style pop rock from the finds of the festival, Italian Quartet Matinee" NOTW @ Haddow Festival; Edinburgh - Keith Smith

"A Fantastic debut, Matinee is too good for afternoon shows and will soon be the main event, more than copyists but future masters of the style" - Chris Philips BRFM radio.
