Damn Vandals new Single: Kings Of Never
c/w ‘B’ side The Revenge of Spider Toothy
Released: 18th March on Sexy Beast
Damn Vandals return on 18th March with their new single, ‘Kings Of Never’. The track features on their highly critically acclaimed debut album ‘Done For Desire’, which was one of Glasswerk’s ‘Top 10 Albums Of 2012’ and Bloomberg’s ‘Best CDs of 2012’. . The B-side, ‘The Revenge Of Spider Toothy’, is a song written by a 3 year old child (honestly!)
As well as seeing their debut album release and numerous live UK shows, 2012 was a busy year for the band – culminating in a live session broadcast on Sky TV’s prime time Loaded TV show. Their exhilarating live shows have gained them a reputation as one of “the most talented and exciting rock band on the music scene for years” (TAPEtoTAPE),and 2013 will see further touring along with a number of UK festival appearances already agreed.
“Damn Vandals, a great live band, thoroughly recommend seeing them, I’ve seen them a couple of times and on both occasions they’ve been absolutely superb, so much energy on stage, a proper rock n roll band.” Chris Hawkins, BBC 6Music
The single is produced by Julian Simmons, whose credits include Ed Sheeran, Midlake, The Phenomenal Handclap Band, Guillemots, and Goldheart Assembly. The powerful vocals of Jack Kansas have drawn comparisons with David Bowie, Mark Lanegan, Jim Morrison and Matt Berninger of The National. Kansas is supported by a toweringly-talented band, consisting of Adam Kilemore Gardens (bass), Chris Christianson (drums) and Frank Pick with his soaring and haunting guitar riffs.
