When Saturday Comes, Free download from Skint & Demoralised to kick off the new football season
Wakefield's Skint & Demoralised, the band project from musician and poet Matt Abbott, were formed from a start in stand up performance poetry in 2006 while he was just a teenager. Played and interviewed on various radio shows including Steve Lamacq, Colin Murray and Huw Stephens, his new act also went on to release a limited single on the legendary Stiff Records before then moving to Mercury.
Always an avid football fan, and a regular at Leeds Utd games at home and across the country, his most recent efforts, including last year’s critically acclaimed “This Sporting Life”, have been released on Manchester’s super-indie Heist or Hit. To celebrate the start of the football season, S&D are giving a sneak preview of album three with the new track, "When Saturday Comes".
