Billie Myers - Tea & Sympathy
Do you remember 'Kiss the Rain'?
What a powerful tune eh?
Well, that was back in 1998 and although a good few years have lapsed, Billie Myers is back, with one heck of an album.
Tea and Sympathy racks up an impressive line up of tracks. Singing of love lost wonderments, pain and wishes. Her lyrics are like a milder dose of Pink and her vocals are comparable to Chrissie Hynde.
My fave song is the romantic, 'You Send Me Flying', but it is not easy to select one track over another as they are all pretty much easy on the ears rock-pop with cute lamentable folky twists. 'I hope you're happy now' has a little Alison Moyet sparkle to it.
So if you haven't got a copy yet go out and grab yourself a copy if you like powerful female vocals with a good sprinkle of grit!
